The annual DJSI process involves a thorough analysis of corporate economic, environmental and social performance factors, assessing issues such as corporate governance, risk management, innovation, health & nutrition, climate strategy, supply chain , labor practices and human rights, human capital development…
Danone has been part of the DJSI since the index creation in 1999.
In September 2012, Danone has reached a global score of 83 points (out of 100), which is +2 points vs last year’s performance making the group very close to the Food best Company (best score : 86 ). What’s more ? Danone is best in class on 5 criterias: Innovation management, Supply Chain management, Environmental policy, Packaging, Talent attraction and retention.
Remaining part of the DJSI is challenging as year after year, the criteria are more demanding. It means that all the companies have to continually improve their sustainability performance to be selected.
