The Best Global Green Brands 2014 Top 50 is out, and this year Danone rises at the 9th place (1st FMCG brand at this position). Danone has been distinguished for its concrete environmental actions (carbon emissions reduction, increased use of recycled packaging, water use reduction and the development of plant-based plastics) but also for its global commitment to its social and environmental responsibility, embedded in the group’s dual economic and social project. This ranking highlights the importance of social innovation and co-creation at Danone, notably through the achievements of its funds, and an approach that “leads the way toward a new king of development model.”
